Rolex crown on sapphire crystal

This photo and the one below of my SD4000 was taken on my drive to work. The sun hit the crystal at the correct angle and the etched Rolex crown became very apparent. These photos were taken with iOS app Hydra on an iPhone 6+. Hydra takes 50 to 60 images per shot, then combines them together for incredibly hi-res photos. In the top photo, you can see the second hand blur as the shot requires about 15 seconds to shoot.

I have high res versions posted here (bottom of the page).

I have a hard time finding the LEC with a 30x loupe and a 400 lumen flashlight. The sun hit the crystal at just the right angle. Very cool pic!

This post prompted me to look for one on my watches. Didn't even know they were there until I read this. yes I know, but we all start somewhere don't we? And the learning process is half the fun. I love finding out new things about my Rolex

Kept at it until I finally realized . . . was the crown!

In the right light it's plain as day!

Great catch, Sheldon.
