I just flew into town and surprised my dad when he got home since I still have house keys. I'm anxious to give him the watch, I think I'll do it this evening at dinner.
sorry i partially hi jacked your post ! i just felt compelled to type something at the time , maybe needed to just get it off my chest . i'm still in shock and again finding myself just zoning out , with so much to do right now and so many hard decisions to make its almost like i am outside of my own body and just going through the motions ! your story is awesome , i'm excited for you , my father and i got along very well but shared very few personal interests and i can sense how accomplished and excited you feel about being able to include him and get him involved in your watch hobby !

and thanx to all of you that sent your condolences !

My heartfelt condolences Justin, to you and your family. I too lost my Dad at a very young age (57) and not a day passes that I don't think of him at some point. I won't attempt to impart any words of wisdom because there are none that will lessen the hurt.

Here's the pics. My DayDate II, my pops GMT IIc, and my lady's SubC TT. He absolutely loves the watch, but he's even happier to see me :)

Oh I'm so sorry, and you are in my prayers. My dad was out of my life from when I was 7 years old until I was a 24 med school student. It was great to rekindle our relationship, and we became close by the time he passed in 2007. Very good advice!

Sorry sir, i seemed to invade your thread in regard to your dads gift.
I do apologise.
It was such a nice story, and it got me thinking of my late father.

Anyway, i hope your dad wears his watch in good health and happines.

Hollywood, i am sorry for your loss, and my prayers go out to you and your family..

Congratulations on both yours and your father's success. You both won! He did right by you, and you did right by him letting him see you bettered your self and that's what he wanted to see! So again congrats and happy father's day!
