Daytona Dial Price

Would anyone know the price of a Platinum Daytona dial change , Mine has the chestnut brown rings on the sub dial . What would it cost to swap it for just the straight blue dial.

Isn't the straight blue the diamond marker dial?

When I enquired with Rolex in regards to dial swap they will happily swap a dial (obviously at a cost) as long as the dial model combination is a factory offering from them.

I don't think anyone has done that yet here. Best to ask Rolex altho you will lose the old dial. Do you mean blue dial with baguettes?

I've never seen one on the secondary market...so that means in all likelihood you will go the route that Neil talks about in the post above. I would think long and hard about that...

Hallo...there is no straight blue dial (blue subdials) for the 116506 - only the blue one with baguette markers.

If it helps: I have just ordered it last week over here in Germany - price is EUR 5.140.-
It just became available for order this month (at least over here), because it just was introduced last year and normally they block new dials for one year before you can order them as a separate dial.

And yes - they will swap the dial...given that the reference will not change in that case.

Hoping to take delivery in July/August!

A dealer told me today that he thinks it's going obsolete since it's not in his new 2015/16 dealer catalogue. And that price fgp quoted, for a total of 0.2 carats of diamond shared between 11 diamonds, seems to be about the correct price difference between the two.

I can get a very good deal on the diamond baguette dial Platona but I want to do the reverse and have the brown subring dial - will Rolex do that for me and what would happen with the diamond baguette dial ? Can someone advise please?

If it is within 3-6 months its free for a dial swap or if you are upgrading i.e to diamonds etc then it is the cost of the dial and hands if they are different.
If within the warranty period then but after 3-6 months it is flat rate on my wifes date just it was under a £100.
If you are downscaling you keep your dial, i.e I changed a diamond dial on my DD II for a standard dial.

So downgrading I'd get to keep the Platona baguette diamond dial ---Fantastic info I'll be in touch with an AD straight away ;)

Yes thats correct as Rolex receptionist explained to me, "you have already paid for it, it is yours" However cheaper standard dials they will keep now, not so 7 years ago when I switched to arabic dial on my PM daytona they let me keep everything o the cost of the dial and hands.

Have you checked this recently?

I only ask as when I was in the St James RSC the tech told me they charge for dial swaps and they keep the original dial.

That was on a BNIB SS Daytona and a BNIB SS/WG ladies DJ

I had my DDII done over christmas I had a diamond baguette dial swapped o a standard dial. I kept the dial and I paid for the dial change and the standard dial. My wife last year upgraded her Dj to a diamond dot dial and they kept the original dial and we paid for the new diamond dial but did not for for fitting.

I spoke to them last week about buying a diamond dot dial for my DJ11 and was quoted the cost for the dial and hands if required and was advised again of sub 2 week turn around and that they would keep my dial.

On Dayton's it will always be a swap and no return, they changed that rule a while ago unless you have precious metal version dial i.e with diamonds.
I think it varies on who you ask and speak to. I have not had any problems via my AD or direct with Rolex.

That's good to know!

At the time I could locate both the SS Daytona and a ladies DJ but both were the wrong dial colours so I enquired via the AD and then directly to Rolex St James and both told me they would charge for the dial swap and keep the original dials so I declined as it obviously made the deal I was getting mute after adding the extra charges from Rolex.
