Me again

Hi guys, I am on the hunt for a blue/red GMT or GMT II. Right now trolling ebay. Does anyone else have any leads? I am a newbie here and can't get out of the probation area quick enough!

Thank you,

AL

Welcome to TRF!

The GMT II "Pepsi" sure is an awesome Rolex model!

Stick around, and before you know of it you will not only own a GMT II but also a couple of further Rolex models. It's inevitable!

Although I have the new GMT IIc, the 'Cokes' and 'Pepsis' are classic and very sought after, stunning looking watches.

I hope you find one real soon .

What is more desirable - GMT or GMT II

Yes, have found plenty but now I wondering if I should get an older GMT or a newer GMT II. I plan on holding it for 3-5 years and then probably selling. Thoughts?

BTW--how does not having the papers for a Rolex affect value?

A classic watch indeed. I would be careful on eBay due to the number of fakes that are out there. Just read some of the Watch Out threads.

Welcome to TRF. I am partial to the GMT IIc as I have the TT version.

It is a nice watch that is rugged and ready for play, work and dress. The 18K gold gives it enough bling to make it stand out in a crowd but not as bad as the solid gold versions.

Whatever you decide, it is best to go to an authorized dealer to try on several. Buy the one that smiles back at you as you smile at it.
