I stopped by a Denver AD and checked out their large collection (larger than my local AD outside Chicago).

On display was the infamous "leopard" Daytona. I have to say, it was crazy and wild in person, much more than I would have expected from the pictures. They really do not do it justice. I asked the saleswoman to take it out of the case, and she asked me "Where do you imagine yourself wearing that?"

I had to respond honestly "nowhere"

I told her it was just a bit too much for me, and she said that it seemed to be a too much for everyone -I don't think they've sold a single one. Also, the price was cheaper than I though it would be, around $55k. A Daytona I saw in my local AD with a baguette diamond bezel and diamond hour indicators was priced at $70k, and that one didn't look half as flashy.

Now that I think about it, though, it was so crazy I actually want one now!

I saw a gentleman's wife point to it and say to her husband "How about that one, sweetie?" and laughing.

*sigh*

I suppose the people I know who could buy one of each without straining their pocketbooks didn't get that way by spending their money so freely, and it is nice to save up for something fun, but I'd like to be able to just pick out whichever one I wanted on a whim.

My local AD gets them in often, saw one last week. They like when they get one in as they sell very quickly.
