Is there a market for a one year old GMTII?
I have thought about changing the bezel on my GMT from pepsi to Blk. Well, spoke to the AD today, they want $125 for a bezel swap. They also have the new GMT in stock. I really like the new ceramic bezel and the trip lock. Have any of you sold a 1 year old watch (today) and come out ok? If there is a market for this watch I would sell in a heart beat. Is there a way to test the waters?

There's always a market...it's a matter of how much you are willing to lose. I would expect to lose at least 15% of the current MSRP for the pepsi.
It usually takes a least a few years of ownership to break even on a flip, unless it's an exceptional piece. |

Basically for your answer above. Truly look around and see what some are willing to offer or what similar ones sell for. Best bet is to hold onto it as it is a discontinued watch(future collectors value). If possible hold out and try get both but if you rather make room then just be sure to get he best possible price at the right time.

Personally, I would keep the old GMT II and save for the new one.
To each his own, though. Best of luck!

There's certainly a market. While I could get the the new GMT II, I'm opting for the previous version, because I like it better.

Hi First07GMT-MasterII,
Phew, have you a real name? Can you tell me the GMT model you have? You might be able to do a reasonable deal for a new GMT II c depending on the model. Is it in good cond?, gold, st/st, diamonds?? Any pix?? As for you Bo, as a champion flipper, can you really give advice on keeping a Rolex???.

It is a SS Pepsi that was picked up 1 year ago this month and did not pass the wiggle test. It is in great shape! I will post pics.

Me too. After you get the new one you can then decide if you still want to flip the old one.

Yep....
I just can't see getting rid of a discontinued watch... But then, I don't get rid of anything........
