My 24 hour hand is Greenwich.

My bezel is usually Tel Aviv, where the company home office is.

I use the GMT feature all the time as I travel nearly every weekend.

I love the way the movement allows the hour hand to jump without messing with the minute hand. That is pure genius, as you never have to really set the watch (which is only 4 seconds out after a month and a half, by the way - pretty amazing accuracy!).

When I'm in the UK, I quickly turn the bezel to check the time in Texas using the 24 hour hand so I know when to call my girlfriend there.

Brilliant watch, 10/10, and yes I have a few marks here and there on the polished centre links, but I love the way it shines :)

I read that it could be used as a compass of sorts. Any other uses that it may not have been intended but used for?

Yes it's in the manual. Point the mercedes hand at the sun and the 24 hour hand will point north (in the northern hemisphere, south in the southern hemisphere).

Of course you have to have the hour hand and the GMT hand synched up and daylight savings time messes with the precision. It theoretically could save your life one day, but seriously if you're that lost buddy you have a problem.

My 24 hour hand is set to local time and so is my hour hand.

On the other hand i am thinking of setting my 24 hour hand to Greenwich time since i am at +2 GMT and i am a bit bored sometimes to do the calculation when i got to travel through timezones

Any time I wear my GMT ll I always set it to NY time since I live on the west coast. I trade stocks for a living and half to wake up quite early in the morning. Since East coast time is 3 hours ahead of west coast time the 24 hour hand can come in handy.

Yes. I just recently purchased my GMT just for function. I always have it tracking the time in Hong Kong and Los Angeles, CA.

I set the 24 hour hand to GMT, and use the bezel to track pacific time. I'm in the east and my company's home is San Diego.
