Warrantee Questions
I am going to ship my Platona to Dallas for a warrantee issue. When the chronograph is activated, the second hand sometimes stops briefly around 12 o'clock. It doesn't happen all the time, but over the course of an hour, it will lose 3 - 15 seconds.
I bought this in December from DSW. The watch was originally sold by a Miami AD in October of 2016. When filling out the Rolex form, do I put the date and place of purchase as December/DSW or October/Miami AD? Also, do I include the original warrantee card, or a copy? Oh, and thirdly, my watch is insured. I assume then that I don't need to insure it by USPS when I send it registered mail, as that would be redundant. True? I have emailed my insurance broker to make sure. Thanks!

Use the date on the card and whatever AD's listed. The other thing, send the original card. If you send a copy of the card, front and back, then you MUST provide a copy of the bill of sale.
Check with the USPS. I'm not sure if registered mail includes 25 or 50k in insurance. If it's 25, then you want to purchase additional, if it's 50k, you should be OK Might also want to let your insurer know it's in the mail.

Thanks. Sheesh, I checked with my insurance agent and the watch is not covered when shipped. It becomes the responsibility of the shipping company.
