The guy had a Sinn on and was surprised, as he thought it looked like a much more expensive watch. Given that, I reckon a GS could definitely attract the eye of discerning which folk.

As an aside, I've been using an app on my phone to track the worn accuracy of the SKX007, and over the last month it is averaging 0.7 seconds per day. Pretty impressive from a non-chronometer certified, very accessible movement!
Don't be so happy about SKX007 accuracy. Few months ago I bought Seiko SRPA21 which has 4R36 caliber (upgraded caliber comparing to used in Seiko SKX007). Initially my watch was running +2s/day which I considered as quite impressive accuracy for USD 400 watch. However, after 4 months I noticed that my Seiko consistently looses 17 s/day. I had to bring watch to watchmaker for regulation. Now ity runs - 3.7 s/day. Cheap Seiko calibers con not keep consistency. Of course, Grand Seiko is completely different beast.

Anyway, my Hi Beat GMT SBGJ017 runs +3s/24h, that's alright with me.
but a Seiko Presage my old man had for 1 month and sold already did the same.

26th march we had DST change overhere.
I adjusted my 116600 at zero. It now runs +3.5s....
In 18 days.

Cheers
Robin

After 30,000 posts you still consider yourself a newby?

;)

Is it the post count or the registration date or the date you got your first Rolex/xxx brand, the date you first disassembled a watch (I was 8 or something, my dad is a watchmaker ) the date you were born or?

J/K I get your point!

Cheers
Robin
