Oil Injected LV
Can I do this or that wearing my Rolex?
The question popped into my mind yesterday while I changed gear oil on my old Mercury motor. Too late but luckily the answer is yes.....the LV got greased up pretty bad.....no worries that the oils in this watch will ever dry up. Tried to wash it of it in the water, but it got worse since I dropped it into the sand! But what a heck, itīs a tool watch and is supposed to withstand some rough treatment. Washed it of with plain soap and warm water. Looks great, but still smells funny.....smells like in an old garage!

Cool photos and what do you know the oil matches the bezel

Talk to Jocke.
He has a Rolex that truly functions in that capacity. An oil change for him is pocket change. Try welding with it. |

LOVE IT!
Use it like its meant. A gun instructor I train with makes you drop your gun and let it get kicked/covered with dirt etc to show you how reliable they are and show you what can happen in the real world... If you whine but my guns new and I dont want to scratch it he gives you a refund and says have a good day... USE IT LIKE ITS MEANT TO BE USED! Use it and abuse it, follow up with a nice bath and some TLC and she will love you like never before :)

LOL! Gives new meaning to "tool watch"
Fantastic photos and don't worry about the smell, it goes away. I had one that was in a sewer one time (yeah, I had it on at the time). Just don't mind the funny looks for a while. |

I hope the smell sub-side :) soon enough....but I really like the chrunching sound from the bezel when turned..a lot of sand survived the spa treatment.
Pictures taken by my Sony Ericcson mobile cam....quality is usually crap, but these pictures came out really nice.

Nope. This is a keeper.
Itīs was already pretty scratched up before the oil incident. Bend bracelet links and nicks in the case. But I have no plans on taking it to RSC yet. Itīs beater and it would just end up with new scratches within days. I actually like it more beaten up, then I Know I bought a quality watch that can take a hit or two and still keep excellent time
