Rolex in italy

Hi all. Just thought id let u know the situation out here.

Ive been around lots of what i thought were middle of nowhere ADs but no SD43 or daytonas.

Ive managed to get on a couple of waiting lists for Sd43 for November delivery. The exchange rate being what it is they are about £400 more than london.

I did see one grey dealer with a mint 2017 subc for €7250 .
And a deepsea 2010 for €7000 (v.good prices)

Have one but may be tempted.

To cut it short . Seems that rolex is very in demand here too.

Was the DSSD in Bologna?

I saw one in the window a bit over 2 weeks ago.
It was a MKII dial and was a little shocked to see it still for sale after all this time. Though I'm not sure the MKII dial was out in 2010

I just spent the last month in Italy looking around the dealers.
There's been a few of the new SD43's through the bigger boutiques since release but they aren't expecting a big supply with the usual long lists.

Just shows the change, before Brexit Italy was the leading source for Iconic and the like to source cheap Subs and still sell with a profit for below retail.

Plenty of date and non-date Subs around.
The dealer that had the MKII DSSD had two of both.
Saw the 114060 in Florence, Milan and Rome.
I can't speak of the others as they're not really on my radar but I think I may have seen a couple of LN's around the place but not on display in front windows.

The prices were very attractive factoring in their tax refund scheme.
It looks like my next purchase may well be in Italy unless the dealers around here can sharpen their pencils a bit.
We will see.

If that is the price for the 114060 you are referring to as the "subc", then it is higher than a new one from AD.

It depends upon where your located and the local market as to whether the price is higher or not than your local AD.

Without negotiating a cash price the prices I was seeing in Italy were very attractive to me when factoring in the TRS whilst there.

You are right, however compared to my location, Italy has higher prices.
For me it was around 4oo€ cheaper if i have bought my watch from UK, but with the trip to order and pick it up, at least half of the savings would've been spent on the trip itself, so i decided to support my local AD in the end :)
