Hi,

I'm sure this has been asked/posted somewhere on TRF but I figure someone could point me in the right direction(pun intended)The manuals do not specify which direction to hand-wind your Rolex. Can anyone here post a "How to"?

CLOCKWISE!!

You will feel the tension as you wind. If you wind in the opposite direction, you will feel no tension at all.....and so that would naturally be the wrong direction.

Poor Zemina has not felt any good tension from you in years; clockwise winding or such.

If your piece hasn't been performing up to par lately, then by all means, a good hand wind is just the ticket..

Generally you crank it in both directions so it's bound to be satisfactory in the end...

Most people feel more comfortable rocking the crown back and forth in between their thumb and index finger. Winding it clockwise is the only direction it winds though as others have said.

As a general rule of thumb, every mechanical watch may only be wound in the clockwise direction!!
