2 ss Daytona for 1 YG Daytona?

I would like to trade my 2 SS Daytona 116520 Black dial and white dial with a friend YG Daytona 116528 M series, (both also M series)In fact, I got the black series together with him when he bought his 116528 in an AD
I always want to have a YG sport Rolex, and keep on thinking of green GMT YG, but also considering YG Daytona as the second option
Do you think it is a good deal?

Don't listen to the others. Of course it's a good deal, if you want to swap 2 SS for 1 YG Daytona - your friend is facilitating this.
However, if you meant is it a good deal financially, then no it's not.
Better off selling the 2 SS and buying a YG Daytona.
Regards.

I'd sell for a gold Daytona or GMTc, just get a good deal.

If condition is comparable and you are sure you’ll like the YG (including the heavier wrist weight), then the deal makes sense.

It’ll also cut down on those pesky morning decisions when you can’t decide whether to wear black dial or white dial Daytona

This is tough. For a daily, then maybe I'd seek a wg tona. That said, your two ss 520s are probably worth a bit more in the long run.

What does your friend believe his YG Daytona is worth ?
Have a look on watchrecon to see what each of your SS watches are going for vs a YG one.
Also note how much longer the YG ones take to sell if you do change your mind.
You certainly won’t be able to do that trade back the other way or sell the YG and buy 2 SS Daytona with the proceeds...

If the YG GMT is your first choice, go that route and expect cash back your way.

This is something that I would consider if I wanted the YG. I would negotiate by saying everyone on TRF thinks you are crazy and I should not do it so if you throw in some cash you have a deal!

That's a bad deal! 2 SS Daytona worth more than a used YG Daytona

The SS models will increase or hold value over time, but gold will go down in value. A fair deal today will quickly flip in his favor within 1-2 years. Hold your Daytonas and save for a gold piece to prevent regrets later down the road.

Keep the SS. Their resale value is probably higher than a worn YG Daytona and it will almost certainly go up further. Plus you'll have a choice each day, black or white dial.

Which would you sell? Black or white dial?

I already sold my black 116520 a while back and replaced it with a green tag white dial 116520, so that would be choice.

But it would really depend which PM model I think it was paired with and one’s own personal preference.

1 depreciating YG watch for 2 appreciating SS watches...no thanks for me.

Also ask yourself this: why does he want the two SS Daytonas in exchange for his gold piece?
