Help in buying a Sea Dweller please ....

I am in the process of buying a SD again and wanted to share the pics that I was given to see if any of you doubt its authenticity - Also , my last SD was a D serial number , so it had the "no holes" case . This one is a Y serial - besides the holes in the lugs ( which I dont really care about ) were there any improvements made to the watch ??

Thank you all for your imput in advance .

EDIT - I was just sent this pic of the back .

Except for the holes bit, no changes whatsoever. Same 3135 movement, same SEL bracelet, same case, same dial, same everything......only different price!!

Have to agree withh JJ fact the only change to the SD since 1989 has been the non lug hole case, myself much prefer lug holes cases.

Seems pretty authentic from those pics, but if you have bought it from a reliable source, you have nothing to worry about.

Otherwise, have any Rolex AD check it out.

Good luck - JJ

Mine is a F series, but the one you are showing appears to be correct. I counted the small notches on the case-back between the "R" in Oyster and the crown, and mine match. I like the lug holes on yours better.

Grossly it looks fine.
remove the bracelet and check the serial number.
Also, use flashlight parallel to the surface of the crystal.
Y serial should have laser etched crown at 6 o'clock
