Icon12 How far would YOU go to sacrifice?

If you found yourself in a financial crisis and had to sell most of your possesions or work like you've never worked before! Would your Rolex be in any of the categories below?

Would your ROLEX be up for sale?
Would it be the last possesion you sell?
Its not for sale no matter how hard things get!

We're all lucky to own one wether we worked for it or inherited it so THINK HARD GUYS

I feel the same as JJ, family first, security second and then watches have their proper place somewhere behind. If need be nothing I own is safe from liquidation, I'll do what I have to do.

Now that said, it wouldn't be the first thing I sold

Well with Rolex watches you always have liquid cash if needed. They are only watches and easily replaced when good fortune come round again.

If things go bad, I will keep only my cheapest 1000$ watch and sell all others until I get back on my feet.

I need at least one lower end one so I can know what time it is :)

Hopefully I have enough savings at all times but of course I can liquidate all rolexes and put in new battery for my tag.

I would sell them in a hearbeat if the situation warranted it. They can always be replaced.

To me, unless your Rolex is an heirloom or a unique vintage model, it is just a replaceable object. I have sold them over the years without much regret. One time (long ago), I actually pawned it for a week to put make a stock investment on margin! I saw a unique opportunity and I wasn't liquid to take advantage of it. I had my watch back the next week and a few extra grand in my pocket.

I'd sell a kidney for an SD or sub as it happens. My priorities are well skewed! Anyone want a kidney?
It's about the only way I am going to get one it seems.

I would probably end up living under a bridge, but at least I'd know what time of day it was, so I didn't have to breathe intoxicating fumes over passers by as I asked them the time

Sell my babies I'd try and sell my body first! OK, OK I know I'd starve

I would choose to work harder, longer hours, etc... before I started selling off any of my personal possesions. I'll admit the thought has crossed my mind, but only briefly. I find that when my back is up against the wall, I can get pretty creative on how to earn more money. The way I look at it, where do I turn once all my goodies have been sold and the next financial crisis comes along?

My family comes first. Everything I own I hold with an open hand when it comes to them.
