That's the kind of story and history that got me into this thing. Not what your drinking, wearing, or driving with your Rolex. Or what it's worth or will be worth. It's about what the watch does, and how wonderfully it does it. And how it will be doing it long after its current caretaker passes on.

Very cool and thanks for sharing. Having sailed twice in the BVI I can only imagine his journey. This, this is why I love Rolex. I don’t wear Rolex because of any need to show status etc..I wear them because of their rich history. A modern example to me is James Cameron and his dive to Mariana Trench.
