Jubilee bracelet + Sand = SuperCringealisticexpialidocious?

So we are getting ready to go on our tropical island getaway and I tell the GF, "Whichever watch you decide to bring you'd better be prepared to wear it the whole time during all activities" because as forum wisdom dictates "Safest place for your watch is on your wrist". She picks the DJ.. I just had a shudder shoot down my spine imagining the noises/feeling it would make once it comes into contact with sand.. It's already bad with oyster but there are so many more nooks and crannies on a Jubi..

We are going to have a good time regardless but just looking for your guys experiences with Jubilee bracelet + sand. Is it as bad as I am imagining?

PS I am her watch maintenance man all cleanings/time changes come to me..

Just give it a good rinse each night with clean water.

In my experience girls don't really care about marks and the Jubilee hides them quite well so she won't even notice them.

Don’t sweat this.

She won’t.

And just give it a rinse daily. All good.

It's a Rolex; it's meant to be worn. My wife has a Tudor with a jubilee bracelet; she wears it because it's tough.

I do the same as Roosvelt here. No problem at all.

You know what I do on my dive trips? Wear it with total disregard, I bought it to wear it. However I usually take 2 watches on trips like that so what ever went into the ocean that day get's rinsed off and then sit's in a full glass of water in the safe at night while we are at dinner. Wear rinse repeat :)
