Both are absolutely beautiful but the Daytona wins it for me.

If you can swap out the gold bracelet for leather strap (or vice versa) without a lot of hassle, that Patek looks really nice.

If you really like the 5146 ......

It really no brainer to get the 5146 on bracelet at $36,900 vs $64,000 retail price....

For a preowned it below market price..... At that price you won't lose money or lose very little if you were to sell it under a year.... Long term it will worth more than $36,900 since you off a good start....

Having said that if you buy it and end up noting liking it, you could always trade it for a Daytona.....

Gold Daytona is far better looking than that Patek in my opinion.

I was once tempted by the RG Daytona. But when it came to that price point I made my decision to go with this one instead.

Well today he called me and told me he can do the price that I wanted. Now I have a dilemma, Gold Daytona or Gold Patek 5146.

I would have to pay a bit more for Patek, but I am ready to do that.
I am really lost in what to get, I really do love both watches, and one day I would love to own them both. What do you guys suggest would be a better buy? I am afraid if I will pass on Patek and the prices on it would blow up in the near future and I would miss a good deal ($36,900), but Rolex prices could also go up and I would buy Gold Daytona in a future for more than now.

I really do not know what to do.
Thanks.

I do not see any point in what you are saying. Both are different in style and in price category as well. So depends what you need and like. No one apart of you may get you an answer to your hesitation.

Agreed. The price for that 5146 is unbelievable. Get it.

The Patek bracelet looks super vintage to me, and the YG is, well i my opinion, also aging. Its more for elder buyers, if you ask me. Something they would love in the middle east- bling bling.

I think the more subtle PM watches will form the trend ahead, and the Daytona has a more modern look in my opinion, especially the bracelet.

So, in my mind, there is no doubt, but I prefer the Oysterflex, so maybe you should not listen to me at all :).

The Datograph best both- especally the RG/black version, but I think they are in the 55.000 range used.

Two very different watches and two different price points. I prefer the Daytona hands down as I think it is more robust and modern looking. I think PP makes some great looking watches but this is not one I would consider. If you can get the Daytona at a fair discount, 15-20%, then the money saved could get you a Hulk, BLNR or other desired watch. I would see if the AD will do that for you. Add in PP service in the future and the time it takes I would go get the Daytona. If the AD will not work with you go the TS route and really save. Good luck.

Well the daytona bezel is a scratch magnet. That would rule it out for me honestly. I really like that patek on the bracelet!

Get the Daytona. I love Patek and have owned many and can say the 5146 is a slow mover and damn near impossible to resell without getting crushed
