93160 and RSC

Hey!

I'm about to service my old Sea-Dweller from 1993. The bracelet is in bad shape as I've worn the watch daily since 1993.

What will RSC do in this situation? I'm guessing they don't repair old 93160-93150 bracelets anymore?

I will not be replacing dial or hands, just glass and general movement service.

If they can't repair the bracelet, perhaps it's better to send the bracelet off to someone else, and send in just the watch to RSC?

If I were to replace the 93160 with a newer model, which bracelet model would it be?

Thanks!

Rolex will, at best, quote you a price for a new bracelet with the old one as a trade in.

Your other alternative is to send the bracelet off to Michael Young or RolliWorks (sp?) for rebuilding. This will be much cheaper.

In general I’d consider your choices, bearing in mind that the bracelet lasted you 25 years, so a replacement from Rolex should last you just as long, or longer if you keep it clean.

Do you know the ref for the replacement bracelet Rolex will offer for a 16600? I'm guessing they don't manufacture 93160 anymore?

Sure they do. However, a 93250 will fit if you can access one or talk them into selling you one.
