Question regarding an "upgraded" Day Date.

I saw this Day Date for sale at what I believe is a reputable dealer of used Rolexes. It is a 1980's Day Date with a recent Rolex dial.

My question is kind of general using this as an example. Will adding a new dial on an older model Rolex prevent it from being serviced at an RSC??

No, as long as it's a genuine Rolex dial made for that model, then RSC will service it. By the way, that dial has been discountinued since the early 90's so it would be correct for that model and year as it was made from the late 70's to the early 90's.
