The title is self explanatory. I do not know part numbers, only general description; Oyster, Oyster with polished center links and Jubilee. It would be nice if you could choose the watch and band separately at the time of purchase.

I wish this can be a possibility given price of Rolex watches.
I personally don't feel good about that not many options are given by the Rolex like other brands

The current datejust is available on either jubilee or oyster. The GMT used to be available with either as well, but sadly not any more.

I agree! I would put the Daytona on the oyster bracelet without PCL’s.

Yes, Rolex did used to offer different bracelets and straps, or the Dealer would change them for you. They also had a selection of designer bracelets.

It has been decades since those times.

I also think it would be nice to have some options when purchasing a watch at AD. Nothing too crazy but bracelets and straps within a range would be nice. It would also be cool if you could purchase a bracelet and strap combo with a new watch.

60s thru early 80s. Somewhere around ‘80 I was offered an 18kt Daytona $3500 on an Oyster or $2k on a Strap still we I hadn’t passed.

People say no and they are partly correct because professional watches come with their bracelets and they won’t be changed by the AD.

On the other hand my DJ had the oyster bracelet which I tried but did not like so they swapped it for the jubilee from another DJ. It can be done... just depends who you talk to

Yep. I believe I've read that you could still get a Sub on Tropic rubber up into the '90s, but I can't find the reference.

Two years ago The Watch Gallery in Covent Garden swapped a jubilee for an oyster on a two tone datejust. Sent details away to Rolex and they updated on the guarantee, so it is just your luck i think.
