It is a great buy if you are a fan of rounded lugs. They have already done it for you, at no extra price it seems! I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole.

I like the watch Phrank posted.

If you're going to fling darts, improve your reading comprehension. He bought a random serial 2014 (warranty card) LAST WEEK. Treat others as you wish to be treated, and common respect goes a long way. And Gary brings up a valid point about when it was last serviced at the age it is.

Up to you. Nothing wrong with it, as long as you are a fan of polished watches.

A good bit of polish done. For example, the bottom right lug should connect to the case outside right of the 0 in "160" on the bezel. It connects on the inside center left of that 0 and looks a CM or 2 short. On second thought it may just be shorter and throwing me off visually. The other corners look polished a bit too, but imo bottom right is the worst offender. I'd skip unless you don't think you'd have another opportunity to purchase.

I only mentioned it was more exclusive than the older daytona, not exclusive per say. I agree the changes are cosmetic but if going for a modern daytona, much better to buy the newest one.

Not sure about the polishing comments, but the “unpolished” example is a straight on photo where as the OP watch in question is slightly angled. Could be a factor in the appearance, right?

Id be on the fence with it simply due to the polish job that has been carried out in the past. But it's a great watch, just bear in mind that what has been polished off can never be replaced.

James. FWIW I think it looks OK to me. Yeah its probably had a polish over the years but if you're happy with it. I find up close pics don't do many watches justice. On your wrist, it will look great, don't get too caught up with close up micro details.

My 2002 polished K serial ;-)

Buy it, wear it, enjoy it.

This Dayton is too expensive. I'd make lower offer that would take into consideration the Rolex service that will be soon approaching. Good luck.
