should the date change at exactly 12am?

first of all im a greenpea here at the trf thank you so much for the warm welcome!my question is should the date change at exactly 12am? mine always change around 12:04am. is that right? how about yours? thanks guys!

In a nut shell the answer is no its a purely mechanical process.Now some change a little before midnight some slightly after or even a few minutes after all perfectly normal

SD and LV change dead on 12, but my IIc varies =between 3-5 minutes past midnight. All watches are different.

Only checked this once so don't know if it's always the case, but last time I checked my LV changed 2.5 mins after 12

My Sub-date changes eveyday at 00:01
I think it depends on how the hands have been installed in respect the dial...
It is supposed to be perfect because the process of putting the hand is robotized...

My GMT IIc changes at 0:02...every watch is different, I wouldnt worry about it.

No problem - my Sub changes at 4 minutes past and my DJ at 1 past.

My Lv changes at 12.03am, SD at 12.04am, can't remember for my DSSD, GMTII & DJ....and my Sub 14060M... changes at ?

Myself now at mature age I am normally fast asleep at midnight.But as long as date changes by morning and I am still alive and breathing thats good enough for me.

When I first checked it was after 12. Last time I looked it was a couple of minutes to 12.

none of my watches change at 12 exactly, my sub changes at 11:55 my Omega SMP changes at 12:02 and my Invicta changes at 9:30...

all you guys want to do an experiment?
at midnight gently shake the watch from side to side (i said gently!!) and see if it changes
my sub changes at up to 4 mins past
gently shaken at anything past 12 it changes
