I'll probably send in my Air King this weekend. I travel a couple times a month and so I'm constantly changing the time due to switching time zones and I've noticed that maybe 1 out of every 2 or 3 times I set the watch, the second hand doesn't start when I push the crown back in. If I give it a little jiggle it'll start up though.
I did a search here to see if anyone had the same issue, found an old post about someone having this problem and the solution to be making sure the watch was fully wound before setting? I can't imagine that my power reserve was so low as to not allow the second hand to begin ticking again. At any rate, I haven't had the chance to test this out so I figured I'd swing by my AD, they're pretty cool there anyways. Edit: I'll come back and vote if I do send it in |

Warranty issues
Unfortunately I’ve encountered numerous issues within the original warrany period over the past 7 years:
Submariner 116610 sent back to RSC to have dust removed from the dial Seadweller 116600 sent back to RSC to have dust removed from the dial. Returned back to me with dust still on the dial GMT Pepsi 16710 - sent to RSC for full service and replacement hands. Returned to myself with dust on the dial and the new hands were scratched Daytona 116520- returned to RSC due to watch stopping and grinding when winding the crown and to have dust removed from the dial. Returned to myself with grease/dirt on the underside of the crystal. Recently started grinding again when turning the crown - returning to RSC tomorrow Tudor BB58 - suddenly started to run 30 seconds slow per day then randomly stops and starts running. Returning to RSC tomorrow. To summarise, immensely disappointed and I’m moving away from Rolex. They portray themselves as a company with exacting quality standards. Unfortunately it’s something I’m yet to experience! Luckily I have a PP 5711 Blue dial to rely upon and a 5164a is imminent. I think I’ll offload all of my Rolex and buy an Omega SMP as a daily. PP are truly in a different league in terms of reliability, quality, finish and customer service. |

30+ years and never a warranty claim. Probably 10+ new watches over that time frame.

I've taken my watches to the RSC for warranty work, much of it minor. I will say though that it is much easier for me to do so since the RSC is where I live and about 5 minutes from my office, which is why I'm likely more inclined to do so than the average person.
