The SD4K dial !

The more and more I look at the mat dial of the SD4K I feel like it has a vintage feel. The dial I am taking about for you crazy vintage start to throw rocks.

I feel like the more this dial sees sun that it could turn a chocolate color just seems like at a glance it has a hue in the sun light.

Ok maybe I am out in the depth of the deep but how do you see your SD4K?

The SD4K dial !

I've noticed mine is brownish in bright daylight. I think it's the matte dial but I think the days of fading and "patina" are gone from what I've read about the materials and manufacturing processes Rolex uses now. It looks like an illusion to me

Thanks Larry! Honestly, the SD makes it impossible to take a bad shot. It's a very photogenic timepiece.

this.

If I could source and or have my dial modded on my 14060M I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Tired of the shine, matte is superior.

Someone on another thread called it satin and I think that sums it up nicely. The current Explorer is the same.

I agree, I never understood why it wasn’t more popular, probably overshadowed by the DEEPSEA and the newer sub maxicase. The SD 4K is one of my favorite watche, a classic/modern and surprisingly comfortable to wear. If I had to sell my collection, this is the one I probably would end up keeping.

That's that matte-ness in full effect. It looks so awesome in sunlight.
