Looks good!
I'll have to take some more pics with some of the other staps I use. I got an original Waterborne I use for most diving or muddy digging.

Wearing mine also. The only moisture it will see today is powdery snow from the blizzard about to Denver.

Fantastic watch and post! Love a NATO and really like this post. More of this and less talk about wait lists, and future watch values!

OP, what brand NATO/ZULU are you using? I have found them all to be too thick to fit between the spring bar and case.

Only one I know of that is a brand is the Waterborne strap I use the most. The striped NATO and the khaki ZULU (which is very thick), I do not know the makers. I bought them several years ago. One I think came from amazon.
I haven't paid a lot for any of them. But I've gone thru a number of straps that I didn't like.

For comfort and durability, the Waterborne has been the best strap. The one I use is over 20 years old now and is still going strong. In fact, besides being soft and "broken in," you wouldn't know it was an old strap.
They were made in Australia. No clue of they still make them. I bought mine in a dive shop.

If they do still make them, I probably should buy a spare to keep in my gear. I like redundancy in my gear. Keeps you alive sometimes

Edited to add:
As far as spring bars, I had to replace mine over the years. I made the mistake of buying pins for non-holed lugs. They will not set right in lugs with holes like my SD. At the time, I didn't know the difference.

This thread should put an end to all those “Could I do this in my Rolex” threads.

Really enjoyed reading this post. The SD is a fantastic watch. I like hearing about peoples’ travels with them.

Waiting on my 16600 to return from LAWW, so my 16660 is keeping me company on nato for the moment.
