If someone gifted me code11.59 I'm not sure if I'd even wear it.

Its just not a good looking watch. Forget specs, details, all little extras and it's a new AP, blah blah blah. The watch is just boring at best and ugly at worst

I would not buy it - looks silly and cheap.

The chrono is the better one but the dial layout and fonts used are still too generic and un-unique, the case and lugs remain the best features, and the chrono cal and rotor are impressive, but in PM these are priced way too highly for so little originality, in SS and a competitive price for the non-chrono would have been better.

I prefer the simple time and date version. RG with black dial.

It didn’t look horrible to me as it did to some of the other posters on this thread. Did I fall in love with it - no but it was nowhere near as bad in the flesh. I will consider it.

If people expected AP to make a FPJ or PP type dress watch then that was never going to happen.

But Francois says you just have to see it in person to appreciate it.

Yes 16 year old just emailed him and said it was super. Lol

I generally like FHB and the direction he’s taking the brand. I don’t need to like all their offerings to love the brand anyways.

I agree in general but his attitude and position he took on this particular offering was very off putting, especially since it was just after their boutique only model was rolled out. So even if I wanted to see one in person, I am for example, out of luck. So it doesn't jive really well..... kinda turned me off a little from AP to be honest.

I agree. I saw that interview and he seemed very defensive. There was definitely a rub there. Still love that case, if they would only fix the dial.

Trust me, in 5 years time you will all be queuing up to buy these at 20% premium or be prepared to schmooze with boutique employees to get them at list.

Ok maybe not but never say never.....

I like the base rose gold with black dial. Looks much better in natural lighting than the direct lighting.

nope.

but i've seen enough watches and tried on enough watches to know (for the most part) what fits well and what i like or don't like

Code 11.59? i just do not like them

just my humble opinion. Of course, its always a possibility that i "might" like it, but unlikely

The CODE 11.59 doesn’t photograph well at all. They look soo much better in person. I hesitated at first before trying them on.

It does look better in its detailing and finishes in real life, but the overall aesthetic is still the same, underwhelming and characterless.

I'll defend the case design though. I think it's very well done and dynamic. The movement is well executed too. If they overhaul the dial, this can be salvaged.

Exactly.
Were these not made by AP, there is no way they would get the attention that they are getting

I'm very curious to see if anyone has purchased one worldwide

Not sure what they tried there but not their best work imho.
