Great Family Rolex Story

I noticed a co-worker was wearing a very nice vintage two-tone Rolex and I told him I thought it was a great looking watch. He thanked me and told me the story on how he got it.

His grandfather was a Navy doctor and a highly-regarded surgeon. In the early 60s he performed surgery on the Admiral who was in charge of the Navy. The Admiral had late stage pancreatic cancel that was very deadly at that time.

The surgery was successful and the Admiral lived. Months later he bought the Rolex and gave it to my co-workers Grandfather as a thank you for saving his life.

The watch has been passed down to my co-worker's father, and how him.

Just thought I would share since I love stories like this.
