Rolex needs to step up and take a swing at the 21st century

Their website is awful, and no where on it can you find dealers. call the 800 number and get someone who speaks broken English. She then puts me on hold and finally comes back and identifies 1 dealer in my area--hell, I knew of 3 others. It is one thing to be "exclusive" but his is just poor and I think makes them look awful. I can only hope their craftsmanship is much better.

The website is designed specifically that way to make you get to your AD and find out what else there is. The only people that even care about their website are people like us on this forum. We make up about 3% of the Rolex owners out there. They are designing for the majority of their buyers.

I agree with you though, I'd love to see a much better site.

The website is designed to make you get to your dealer--huh??????? So you should call all over town and likely miss one or more--heck when you call Rolex that don't give you the correct info. It is bad system any way you look at it. I would think Alan Furman et al love it.

If you want to see a great watch web site, have a look at www.panerai.com

All the models are listed with lots of pix, special editions, a photo gallery, technical info on each watch and a list of ADs in a really user-friendly interface. It's an excellent customer-centric site.

But since Rolex is Rolex, they won't change.

Yes agree there is quite a bit that Rolex could do a lot better. And what I have found the majority of the ADs have little knowledge in the products they sell. And agree with Seth the average watch forum enthusiast, have forgotten more that the average AD has learnt.
