Alternative GMT with some (but less) bling plus Daytona with some bling. Roughly same cost.

Sorry for the duplicate post!

Yes the meteorite is cool but so is the SARU.
I say if you got the means and it’s available and you are
looking to add DO IT!!!

I would wear it in a heartbeat... You don’t need the
forums approval but if you want my 2 cents I say go
for it ... It’s a beauty and not too many in the wild....
Oh and uh, yes it’s versatile...

I'd rather own a green dial, gold Daytona. Would look so cool with a t-shirt & jeans.

If you like it, pull the trigger. I tried one on in Seattle, but wasn't my thing. That being said, who cares what other people think. Get it if you like it.

I’m going to go against the TRF grain and say it’s an all out lovely piece. I’ve always liked these. They make one in YG as well. Thumbs WAY up.

I do always wish they changed the green gmt hand and dial text to red on these, but nothing’s perfect.

Wearing a Rolex is not always easy, and sometimes it is nice when it flies under the radar. But this? I would be afraid of getting mugged. Every wannabe thug will want it.

My feeling on the watch itself: I don’t care for the diamonds on the lugs and crown guards, but really like the bezel. Also the green GMT and GMT Master II in green seems am odd choice, the blue GMT hand of the BLNR and the colored writing in blue or red make more sense to me, given the bezel colors. Comes off as a bit of a frankenwatch to me... though I know it isn’t.

Like any other watch and any other buyer, if you like it then buy it and wear it how you like.

The diamonds in the lugs on the SARU is what kills it for me, not only for the bling, but also for a potential damage if the watch gets hit (something that will happen sooner or later if you are going to wear it)

I thought it was kind of interesting but I could never get used to not having the 24 hour ring on my bezel. Defeated the purpose of the GMT so if I wanted the bling I'd do it on a sub. Thankfully for me I'm satisfied with PM GMT without the stones. Just need a platinum RONR to really make me happy!

Based on what I’ve seen you enjoy, and my own OCD, I would probably not get this one. The green text and hand seem out of place. Why, oh, why, could they not do blue? It would go together so well.

Sometimes, I find myself wishing I could pull this one off, or the leopard Daytona. I’ve seen that in person. Takes a little swagger with the leopard Daytona, and this one.

However; you’ve earned it! You can try it. If you don’t like it, it will hold a good bit of value and you can trade. I trade around a lot in order to determine what I like. Sometimes you can’t tell until you wear it a while.

Perhaps you should give it a go.

Personally I kinda want one bling watch myself.
I like it
Daytona Rainbow is way too pricy but I like it also.
Tutti Frutti RG YM is another I like.
Also AP has some nice options, all are expensive...
But I say yes

As a one and only, no. As part of a collection, I would say it makes a great diversifier. Knowing some of the pieces you have I say go for it.

While I don't personally care for the SARU, I would absolutely buy the SABR submariner if I had the money to spare.
I forgot about the SABR reference, which I love as well. Maybe someday it will be in the cards.

As for this watch, hell, I'll be the first to admit I have not seen it in person but I love it. It's crazy, yes. Unusual, for sure. But it's not that over the top.

Remember, part of the history of the brand is those pioneers in the imdustry, many of whom simply didn't care what other people thought.

Personally, the fact that so many here seem to dislike it would cause me to want to buy one even more.

Lots of people here love the Rainbow Daytona and I’m guessing many of those same people don’t like the SARU. I’ve seen both in person at grey dealers and think both are equally beautiful. Personally speaking, I would get the SABR.
If you like the SARU and you can afford it , why not? Life is short! Enjoy it!

The SARU is a unique piece I believe there are a few different varieties of these GMT watches with gem stone settings. A piece that's all original Rolex, but not in the regular catalog is a rare piece, a real collectible.

Based on the pics I've seen of your collection, aesthetically it would be a downgrade. If you like it more than any of the ones you currently have that is your call, but if you would be buying just to have something new and different then I think there are better options.

Yeap! Correct! You'd better get Platona with baguette dial. Not aware whether there is a price match but Platona is much more subtle with the ignorant and loud with WIS!

I think you need to dress up to go with the watch; will look great. If you dress too casual, people would think you're wearing a fake watch.
