If you like this classic and love wearing it instead of collecting.
Then it doesnt matter what the series number is. Just enjoy it. For those who want to collect. Maybe a V is more collectable than a M. However, this thread is just to show that there are some V 16600s around. Thats all. |

Does this mean that my F serial SD is worth more because it was the last to have an anchor?

Who's this agree you talk about Anyway argee doesn't really get on with the SDs, they just don't fit on my wrist too well, but for those who it does they're lovely watches. I honestly can't see any problems with a M or a V if you're keeping for the future, if anything the past and present tell you that the best thing you can do is keep it safe or buy up some spares for it to make sure that it stays original in 30 years time. I don't think anyone can say what will be popular or be valuable in the future, the ones like the 55xx watches and the double reds, etc were all made back in the day when Rolex didn't produce on a level that they do now and people treated their watch slightly differently as well. i think if you want to try and get a watch that'll climb in value you have to find a newer make that will take off and their early watches start climbing, look at some of the Panerai from the 90s and their values now!

not sure. Not when I bought my 16600 long time ago.
I think this might be a gift like the anchor from AD, IF they have any. |

All I want to see is the number on the watch....not the card....and until I do I wont beleive that there are any V series out there and I'm sure many more of us feel the same......This is how so many people get stuck with a duff one or a fake/replica/folex and to be honest I am really surprised at the level of belief from such well established forum members being given on the basis of a photo of a card with the letter V on it..... If it is a fact, then thats cool,it really doesnt bother me as I am happy with my M series SD but if I told you that I had a brand new 16710 on a V would you believe me if I showed you a pic of a card and then some of the watch without showing the number between the lugs ????? I think not... |

Images have chinese writing was because the forum which call iwatch has a upload function that allows members upload their pics and all pics that uploaded will have these icon writing to show where the pics originally uploaded. Since the iwatch forum dont let guest view pics unless you are a member. I had to find a way to re-upload them and edit to smaller size so I can get them uploaded quickly. Once again. These pics were taken by the guy who bought the watch in Swiss and straight post these pics on the forum. I dont think they are photoshoped to change the number on the card or something like those. For me, I was just here to share some info with others. As myself, I havent had a SD16600 for a long time. No matter which number ends at the end, M or V or?. It just does NOT matter to me AT ALL!! Why would I care! And I had no reason to photoshop. Maybe this thread makes someone unhappy who just bought a M SD16600 which they think it is the last series and hope it will be collectable. Accept it or not, I guarantee the pics are TRUE. |

I do not know the guy, and I will NOT ask a stranger do me a faver to prove who's right or wrong. If you were the guy, do you think you would do the same based on some strangers doubts just to prove to the world that you have a V? I would not. Im not here to make you believe. Im here to bring some fact. Maybe you feel uncomfortable to see someone out there has a V. Maybe you dont care. What I know is for those of you who dont believe. I will give you the link. You need to register to see the pics. Once you got pics. Get someone check the pics if they are photoshoped or not. Then you know what Im talking about. link: http://www.iwatch365.net/viewthread....extra=page%3D1 |

Never ever heard of a particular date letter or series letter becoming collectable in any Rolex watch, model number yes but date letter no,plenty of life still in the SD.
