Huge congrats. I love both of them and I think they will complement your already amazing collection so well. Wear them in the best of health in 2020!

Nice! Congratulations.

How you finding the GS in terms of fit/finish compared to the Rolex?

In a direct comparison between the GS and the Explorer I would have to say the GS is better finished in all respects dial hands case, braclets are a tie. Using a scanning electron microscope IE loupe ( yes I know your not supposed to ) but I really wanted to see if GS finishing was as good as it's supposed to be. I can't find any fault with the GS. The explorer is very good but in my humble opinion not quite as good, especially considering the cost difference between the two.

I have returned my loupe to its drawer and will now enjoy wearing both watches.

Haha never use a loupe on your watches unless it’s some haute horology piece - it will only lead to disappointment!

The bracelet is one of the main things putting me off GS. Never handled one only seen them but they look a bit pants compared to the rest of the watch. Similar issues with Omega. Rolex have that thing nailed at the price point.

I did mention the loupe was for investigative use only. As for the braclet both the GS and my Speedmaster braclets are on a par with Rolex.

Good to know. Maybe it’s just the appearance then but they just look a bit dated compared to the Oyster bracelet. Congratulations on both your incomings though, I mainly ask as both GS and Omega are on my potential next watch list :)

I've handled GS before and I found them bracelets to "look" cheap and I didn't like their clasps very much. I do much prefer the three link style that yours has compared to their five link (like Omega). I wish they used them more often. I also didn't like how thick watches are. Hands and dial/case are awesome though.

Watch is 12. 2mm thick so not exactly a brick.

GS is the future. 100% handmade by two watchmakers, they are gems.
