Despite my black dial preference, I would definitely want that in preference to say a Panda. Classy, a bit bling but not in your face - a great piece.

My wife gave me a TT Daytona with the white dial for our wedding. It is a beautiful watch. I wear it regularly in rotation with my other watches. I would not recommend a mother of pearl dial but to each their own on what they like. It is very sentimental to me so it is special to me but TT is not for everyone.

I'm generally not a 2 tone fan. I once had a 2 tone 16613 with black dial that I thought was beautiful.

Yes and loving it - black diamond with full gold subdials - so versatile i’m star struck each time I look at it and everything just else not getting wrist time anymore ! TT are so under appreciated but when they’re worn they just look so classy with a suit or casual

I’ve recently been wondering if I should buy one with the diamond dial. Upon seeing the prices, my thoughts are that it’s better off buying a stainless steel Daytona 116500ln. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a two-tone fan. But the prices just doesn’t make sense to me.

The two tone Daytona is a gorgeous watch. I remember on this forum when just a small minority preferred the TT, and some models sold at a considerable discount. Then the boom hit and many of those watches, some sold at 30% discount, began to command a premium to fill supply when dealers were out of stock and prices skyrocketed on the secondhand market.
The point is that no one knows what will happen with pricing, but the TT Daytona will not rise like the SS sports models based on history. They are still beautiful, and I believe that they have more wrist presence than their steel counterparts.

I know I want a TT Daytona...and for the longest time I wanted the 116503 white dial, however recently I have been thinking about possibly going with a 1999 16523 Champagne dial with the black sub rings...any input from the group would be great.

The blue arabic dial is amazing! They made a few examples of them in 2016 when then updated to the 116503...but very hard to find for a decent price.

While some collectors may prefer the traditional stainless steel or solid gold versions of the Daytona, the two-tone variation has its own appeal, especially for those seeking a more versatile and distinctive look.

The specific model you found with a white mother-of-pearl dial and diamond hour markers sounds particularly eye-catching and elegant. The use of mother-of-pearl and diamonds adds a luxurious touch to the iconic Daytona design, making it a standout piece in any collection.

As for its potential as a collector's item in the future, several factors come into play. Rarity, desirability, and historical significance all contribute to the collectibility of a watch. Since the white mother-of-pearl dial may no longer be available as a standard option from Rolex, its scarcity could enhance its appeal among collectors who appreciate unique and discontinued variations.

However, it's essential to consider that the value and collectibility of a watch can be subjective and can vary over time. While some collectors may highly covet certain models, others may have different preferences or priorities.

Ultimately, whether the two-tone Daytona with a white mother-of-pearl dial becomes a sought-after collector's piece depends on a combination of factors, including its condition, provenance, and how it is perceived within the watch community. If the watch resonates with you personally and you appreciate its design and craftsmanship, it could be a valuable addition to your collection regardless of its potential future value. As always, buy and collect watches that bring you joy and satisfaction.
Nice try ChatGPT

That's probably why they give TT to the winners of the Daytona 24 hour race.

You can take the boy out of the 80's but you can't take the 80's out of the boy.

I freaking love the TT Daytona and am on the list for a 126503 white dial. I know people think I'm crazy to be willing to drop more than 20K (after tax) for a TT Chrono but no matter who hates it, I'll be smiling every day I wear it. That's what matters.

Mate, you think they give the SS ones to first time winners? You need a winning history for those.

TT at msrp vs stainless at 2x? Tough choice, not.

Fortunate enough to get mine NIB grey at MSRP (no tax). Also have an OEM brown leather Rolex strap for it, too. While my preference is white dial in 116 or 126, I'd also consider a champagne dial in the 126. Much maligned, but good looking watches.

I recently discovered my love for TT watches, maybe a question of age...

So I decided to let my 2 SS Daytonas go and get 2 TT 126503, one black and one champagne.
Both are beautiful, especially the champagne dial in the sunlight.

No regrets so far!

Daytona 2 tone (Black dial and Diamond Bezel)

I am considering purchasing a 2 tone Daytona. Does anyone know the ct size (each and/or total) of the (8) diamonds on the bezel?

I had a TT white dial that I purchased from my AD back in 2020 when they were more available at the time. I loved it, and love TT watches in general (I have 3), but hated how easy it was to scratch the PCL's and bezel. I really wanted one with a ceramic bezel and wish they offered one in TT that way. Problem solved when my AD allocated me a RG Daytona on OF. So I traded my TT in for it. Hated to see it go but love the RG Daytona a tad bit more.
