Anyone prefers BLNR over BLRO?

Definitely the Batman.

Only the blue and black ceramic inserts look good, and the black looks the best. They never could the red and green quite right; both look dull and muddy. On the Pepsi, the blue and red bleed into one other. It looks terrible. The gray makes no sense as a color choice.

I like the colors and bi-color bezel of the BLRO. One of the negatives of the other modern Rolex GMTs, for me, is the busyness of the bezel with the big ass number font.

The bi-color bezel of the BLRO cuts!some of that busyness. Best looking watch in that regard for me. And, as mentioned, I do like the colors.

Many do as will be referenced in this thread.

I’m the opposite. I owned the BLNR for a short period and just didn’t get on with the blue/black colour scheme.

Pepsi is perfection (to me)

The new BLRO just doesn’t do it for me.

I have and love the BLNR and have a 16700 Pepsi - which is near perfection IMO!

As long as they are on an Oyster bracelet I'd be happy with either.

Have the BLNR Batgirl; BLRO at top of my AD wish list.

I feel that the BLRO is the best GMT!

Just for fun, i asked colleagues (both men and women) in the office. Everyone picks the BLRO, not even a single person pick the BLNR, odd.

I have both and prefer the BLRO...when I wear it, it just seems a lot more "special". Obviously, there are intangible factors at play because the Pepsi color-scheme is so intimately connected with the history of Rolex.

The best way I can describe it...sometimes, when I wear the Batgirl I look down at my wrist and think "dang, I wish I was wearing the Pepsi". I have NEVER looked down at the Pepsi and thought "dang, I wish I was wearing the Batgirl". I enjoy wearing both, but if I could only keep one, it would be the easiest choice in watch-collecting for me!

I'd own both if I could. If I had to choose one over the other, probably BLNR.

Well said. In a world of extreme polarization, I also agree that we can like both.

Like both, but BLNR for me. The blue GMT hand that matches the blue on the bezel is sweet! Pepsi is great too, but I think the blue and black of the BLNR works better IMO.

I have done this many times. It is always the BLNR. I even did it in real time when I was having the same discussion a couple of years ago. The blue and red is nice and has grown on me more here on the forum, but it is a lot and the blue and black look so perfect together IMO. I really do believe it is the history that has the BLRO more popular in this forum. I wish they would do a national poll! I am sure it is worth everyone’s time lol.

I think you nailed it. As I said it is the history and feeling of having something more special that pushes those in the watch community to the BLRO. Great photos btw!

With the mad prices these days for a pepsi your paying an extra £4k for a different coloured bezel!

I have and really enjoy the BLNR on jubilee. Rolex GMT was my most desired watch ever. However I would never say no to BLRO, which as it was said, is plenty of history.
Same for VTNR. Another modern icon

Owned both, now own only the BLRO. The aviation and military history of the BLRO made it an easy choice--my all time favorite watch!
I felt as though I was compromising while wearing the BLNR--always missing the BLRO. Magnum PI, if given the choice, would've chosen the BLRO.

100% prefer the BLNR. I turned down a BLRO from my AD as I just couldn’t get on board with the bezel colour execution.

I used to, but changed my perspective. I had both for a short period of time and kept the BLNR and sold the BLRO. I generally like more subtle and under-the-radar type watches so I figured the BLNR (mine was on Oyster) would be the better pick.

But after owning it a while, I realized the BLNR is also not subtle. Huge font + bi-color bezel, PCLs. It's a much louder watch than even the Sub. Not a great everyday watch for me, personally.

As such, if it's a GMT that I accept as not wearing everyday but rather for certain occasions, well then I much rather prefer the BLRO on jubilee, the classic.
