Both Submariners seem like a great watch for rough play. They can be well-used and actually become more attractive with use and age in my opinion. A watch can tell a story and not just the time. Strap a NATO or a RubberB on the watch and have a field day.

Love your Avatar S&S. I’m a real Campag fan but virtually all of my mates have switched to Shimano & SRAM now, it’s just me stubbornly sticking with it. Got the new Chorus 12 Groupset last year and it’s great.

PS - sorry about the off topic everyone else.

My vote is the Tudor. I'd wear a BB58 as luxury beater.

Tripped on the stairs a couple of weeks ago, landed on the tile hard on face forward. First thought before the pain started was "Hows the watch?!".

The watch was fine...

I agree with this!

You’re asking if a breitling is tough enough!? Your rolexes are plenty tough.

You got me beat by one, but I have two young kids and wear my watches around them all the time. I’m typically pretty careful to not bang my watch anything, but I’ve never had an issue.

That said I went to a water park with them a couple weeks ago and just went with the gshock! Lol. But I really enjoy wearing my Gshocks so it wasn’t really a sacrifice.

I have a 15, 3 and 1 year old and don’t really decide which watch to wear because of them. Worst that’s gonna happen is a little drool and smudges will happen. Quick rinse at the end of the day and it’s like new.

I’m running sram etap now but I’m definitely going back to dura ace when I get my next bike. But the much bigger decision is of course, which bike to go for
Ermmm watches …. I prefer Rolex, and my kids have never damaged any of them. My wife on the other hand, now that is a different story

I bet in 20 years you'll look back at your watches and the one that's beat up and scratched up from hanging with your kids will be your favorite.

Rubber straps. I've taken too many cringe-inducing lightsaber hits to the bracelet.

Black sub and “Hulk” are perfect beater watches. Enjoy your time with your children. My 2 year old loves trying on my submariner and rotating the bezel while taking his bath or shower. Enjoy your time with your children. Worrying about your watch is missing the point IMO

Get a $100 CasiOak and call it a day.

Otherwise anyone of your ‘modest’ pieces will do

I'd wear Breitling, Omega and micro-brands.

This remnds me of a family get-together last week. One of my nephews who's only 5 absolutely loves watches. Everytime I see him he looks at my watch and tries to grab it. I had forgotten that little detail and was wearing my new TT Bluesy 41. Well guess what, first thing he did when noticing the watch was sneakily grab it behind my back and try to turn the bezel in the wrong direction. I got nervous, couldn't hold back and frantically said "don't touch my watch!" . Made my wife laugh. My son (7) and daughter (4) know they have to be gentle with these things if they want to wear them one day.
