I've owned both in 11 series .
It's a difficult one, both are fine for daily wear, I sold the bluesy as the gold in fill on the bezel is actually yellow and looks awful to me, makes the watch look cheap and tacky!
The steel no date is much better looking with the balanced dial and lack of ugly cyclops but I still ended up selling it as it was boring!
It was a no win situation for me, prefer to move up in class to high horology pieces pre owned for the same price

One is a classic, going back to the original design. The other looks like something you won at a carnival.

Sub no date ... classic looking and will stay relevant over time.

Not a fan of bluesy

Which Bulova model were you thinking of? If this thing looks like cheap junk then I guess that's my wheelhouse. Need to change my chrono24 search terms :)

You can't beat the no date Sub for a one watch collection. It gets my vote.

I think they are referring to this, I don't get the comparison. There will always be homage pieces:

Exactly, seems like a silly point to make...

Keep the bluesy and get a G shock for when you need to do stuff that may harm the bluesy. Not a fan of the no date sub.

I’ll tell you one thing, this tread got me thinking. I sold my bluesy back, but was a great pair with my 124060. Was waiting for the Batman, but if I can get the bluesy again soon think I might go for it.

This. We sometime get caught up in "which is better for this purpose" and lose track of the one we like to look at. Yeah the ND is a better daily... its all steel with a brushed bracelet. Does that mean the TT is not a good daily? Nope. Keep the one you like more.

My personal preference, under any collection status circumstance, is ND Sub. My instinct says that some like it, some don’t, but those who like it never tire of it. Don’t know that same can be said for the TT.
