Current list is $18,000 and if it goes up 5% that's $18,900.

I only did the transfer because I bought a Mercedes S450 on a 0.99% note in the same month and wanted to maintain liquidity. Feeling pretty darn good about both those transactions now.

I see nothing wrong to be honest . If the cash can be used to generate more than 3%. Why not

I did. I don't want used or grey market. I don't regret paying retail, nor should anyone else if it's what they want. It would be best if you didn't shame someone because they paid the full price.

Best practice imo is if you have the cash buy it.

Mercedes S450 is a diff story

Credit cards offer these deals all the time. Anything over 12 months is a great deal for only a 3% transfer fee. It needs to be a dedicated CC for this one transaction, or it doesn't work as payments first go to the lowest interests balances on the card. So, if you charge something else, you will pay interest on that charge no matter what until the zero-interest money is paid back in full. Great way to buy a watch and spread the after tax dollars into two years.

Yeah, I saw that. It would take way too much work to forge that document he presented, so it looks official to me. Looks like a bigger price increase across the board than last year’s.

I’m sure grey market pricing has something to do with this as well. If these watches keep going for thousands over retail. Rolex will surely won’t feel bad raising prices.

You can’t even get a steel sports watch and now you’re gonna pay more if you’re lucky to get allocated one. I wonder how much further prices will go. It’s getting a little much IMO

Usually grey lags behind. If you want to buy, then do it in next 24hrs.

The Italian price list was already shared in this thread before Oisin's video

ADs in the UK have already been informed about the Jan 1st 2024 price rise,

Rolex never issue a statement or press release when increasing prices - instead this is communicated via the AD network - I would be surprised if you found any official info from Rolex about any price increase ever.
This - 100%. Its not a blanket 10% as some have stated. I know first hand of someone offered a full PM reference before 1 January 24 with confirmation of a 4% increase on that reference as of 1 January.

It happens Peter. UK ADs get told by Rolex UK. Some AD's let their best customers know.

References are usually discontinued after (what was) Basel, so nothing can be concluded.

I think so. However, in the previous 4-5 years the used market was hot. Now the used market is essentially dead and what the used watch dealers currently have is not moving at current prices. Wouldn’t make sense for them to increase their already laughable premiums .

So a price increase from Rolex this year is actually welcomed by me for the first time in years. A price increase will further cut out the flippers

And even if it would be discontinued today, it would still be sold during the next months. So regardless, discontinued pieces have to stay on the new list.
