Those kind of deals are few and far between! Congrats! We collect art and only once in the past 10 years was I able to "steal" an original bronze sculpture for 10 cents on the dollar. Found it on Ebay and before I knew it, it was on a pedestal in our home.

Another reason we always keep looking!

Ive had many bargains over the years along with the rolex another which sticks in my mind was a vinatge Louis Vuitton case i bought for £47.

It was rather used and from what i could see also very old. On a business trip to London Mrs Pea popped into the Louis Vuitton Store on bond street to enquire about any repair service they may offer. The assistant suggested sending him details of the case, perticularly the serial number as many years ago each sale was logged in a ledger which is now held in the louis vuitton museum near paris. Turned out the case belonged to a famous british composer, a Richard Addinsell and as it was covered in shipping stickers they made us an offer to purchase the case for display in the Museum. Mrs Pea was like a cat on a hot tin roof in the end we got £7000 worth of store credit for the case we paid £47 for. Obvously Mrs Pea had a field day and currently we have more Louis Vuitton Luggage than u can shake a stick at

I never give up looking for bargains

Awesome Pea!

Another reason I always stop and shop and sniff around.

One of my dreams is to find an original John Singer Sargent at a yardsale.

Hmm...I have purchased from a Trusted Seller on TRF. Consequently, while I don't feel I got a bargain basement price, I got MINT condition watches ( a Y series & D Series.) Furthermore, I bought with confidence, saved > $1,000 off retail on watches you cannot easily find in primo condition.

Sooooo....I guess you could say I did get "bargains" when you factor in peace of mind and efficiency Vs. meeting up with people locally to look at POS watches of dubious origin and risk getting held up on a cash deal!

Before purchasing rolex watches it is important to know what are in vogue now so as to catch up with the trend. Then you should consider your lifestyle. Fossilas and DKNYs look good for young men While the IWCs and the Baume&Merciers people whose age is 35 or greater.

I've had a few good deals, but no "steal" of a deal on Rolex.

Maybe it is just me, but I keep thinking that if it seems too good to be true ... then

But for those out there who can score a deal, congrats!

I bouught an old gents manual wind oyster at auction for £150! Had it serviced changed the clasp and dial and it looked like new! Flipped it some time later for a tidy little sum. They are out there, but unfortunatey, as rare as rocking horse poop!

Good point

This would be my definition of a bargain as well.

Well I havent paid it off to take it home yet but I feel I got a bargain. I found a GMT II Coke, jubilee bracelet, 1986, 96xxx serial, which I believe is the "Fat Lady" model. All original as far as I could gather. Recently serviced by an independent for $2100. I think that was a steal. Im hoping to have in home for Christmas here. I haven't seen any under $3500 at all anywhere. So I think I did really well.

I got the best bargain lately.

been looking for a Big Pilot for 2 years and when I stated they were at sticker, $13,500

i checked and vetted them out every opportunity I had.

Two weeks ago I found one and negotiated it down to $9,250.

Imagine this economy when something $13,500 is sold by an AD NEW for $9,250.

thats abt 31.4% off retail.

I made a promise not to name the AD which I will honor.

The bargains are out there on all watches!! Just have to be patient and look and make calls.

That is an incredible price on a BP. IWC is another watch I will get one day. I saw that John Mayer has a BP in platinum. That must be one heavy watch with that case size in platinum.

Excellent score for you! Pic?????? I love pics, we all love them here.
