Rolex GMTIIc SS is Great

All the negative talk about the GMTIIc lately kind of baffles me as it is a beautiful watch with all the latest Rolex updates. I purchased this watch mid November and set the time to my atomic clock exactly within a week of ownership. Today I looked at the atomic clock in my Orbita winder to see how accurate the time is on the watch and it is dead nuts. So within in 5 - 6 weeks the watch has kept perfect time. I found this amazing for a mechanical device. I have been wearing this watch nearly every day with an occasional day off to rotate my other watches and it stays on an Orbita Monaco winder at night. Anyways a little positive up for the watch and its wonderful movement.

PS: The bezel has not broke, fallen out and there is not a scratch on it.

Good to know. I have two friends with the S/S GMTIIc who love the watch and have no issues with it.

Having said that, I believe the TRF complaints about the watch are not without justification. They may be in the minority, but it does appear that in a small number of cases, defects seem to have crept into Rolex's manufacturing process.

Have to agree with you, Brian. I've had my TT GMT-IIC since Sept. and no problems whatsoever.

Accuracy, as you say, is truly mind-boggling with the new 3186 movement.

I am thinking of buying one. It's like a sport watch and a dress watch in one. On the other hand the DSSD looks so monster on my wrist...

I've had mine for almost a year now, without even so much as a hint of a problem. It's flawless, incredibly accurate, and is a beautiful timepiece! I love my GMT IIc!!!

I'm another fan of the GMT IIc. If I could only have one watch for work and sport this would be it. The ability to use it for what it was designed to do, track a second time zone, is important to me.

IMO - SS GMTIIC is a stunning watch. It would be my choice if I didn't have the Sub LV.

However, I'm eyeing a 50th anniversary YG GMTIIC with green dial at the moment..... Love green colour

Amazing watch.

I first had the SS GMTIIC, and honestly, that watch NEVER lost or gained a second. I have no idea how that's possible with a mechanical watch, positions, etc., but it was dead on all the time.

My current GMTIIC TT loses a second or two a day--still pleased and within specs.

What a fantastic Rolex timepiece.

Its pretty reassuring to hear those words of confidence on this exciting rolex variant ( GMTIIC). I have had mine for 4 months and am using it everyday. i want to give this to my son on his wedding day (btw he is only 20).

I drool for the 18kt yg green dial version but just can not
afford it. I fell in lust with the ss version and that I treated
myself to. It is the perfect watch for me and it gets most
of my wrist time.

I couldn't agree more

I love my GMT11c. I wear it 24/7 and have had it diving with me. In fact I have another in gold coming with the grren dial. One thing though and I;m curious as to whether any of you have noticed. The bezel can be wiggled a little bit. Not clockwise or counter clockwise but the whole thing tends to feel just a tad loose whilst checking for freeplay.
