Rolex GMT2C Bezel Play

Hi, I'm new to this forum but not new to another UK forum (TZ). I have recently acquired a 2008 GMT 2C and noticed that there is a little play in the bezel, both side to side and top to bottom. I'm told this is due to the new bezel running on a bearing race and not a spring washer. Do others have the same issue. I have a tendency to worry, but hey....who's perfect? I did look at another GMT 2C in an AD with similar (slightly less) movement.
Thanks.
Dave

PS I will post some pics of my watches v. soon.

Hi David,

Welcome to this great forum of ours!!

As a matter of fact, I'm wearing my TT GMT-IIC today and tried to move the bezel - absolutely no play at all in any direction.

You might want to have your AD check it out.

Good luck - JJ

No play in mine either. Best to get it checked out either at an AD or service centre (if by chance there is one near you).

Spoke to Rolex today. The bezel should exhibit some lateral and top/bottom movement due to its (new) design. However, I have sent mine to them anyway in case there is too much play. I will keep you posted.
