the "ultimate" watch box/winder question...

so there are a few "look at my Rolex collecton" threads lately..... (great pix and stories btw ), and it makes me wonder how do you decide which watch goes to which spot on your watch box/winder?

obviously there is the #1 spot (there is one for me anyway ), whether it is the "left", "right", "top left" and/or "top right" spot.

is it:
- your favourite watch?
- the first watch you bought?
- random?

lets share your story and pix

I'm really not OC about watch placement. It's very much a random thing when I put them back in the box.

I have a single watch winder.. so the watches fight amongst themselves to find who will get the rocking cradle for the night.. rofl:

quad watch winder here in a 1-2-3-4 config - one line left to right. Most worn always gets far left (#1 position)- that's the LV right now.

I never actually thought about it, but mine are in the order that I bought them. I got my second and third out of order for a while and it really bothered me (couldn't figure out why.) Finally I swapped them and felt better.

That makes me smile, I don't have a quad winder but if I did, this seems like something I would do.
