FS: 1967 Metres First 5513 (UK)
One of the nicest Rolex Submariner 5513 from 1967 i've ever seen.
Its a fourth quarter 1967 watch and the inside of the caseback is stamped iv 67 as it should be. The serial number starts 1.7m which places it firmly in late 67 and it has the last of the domed type lume markers as it should also be. By serials 1.8m they flattened off and moved to a tritium mix. Obviously Matt dial and metres first also, as should be on a 67. Original dial, hands, bezel and correct matching tritium pearl still too. The lugs are lovely and fat and it has obviously had a service at Rolex Bexley London at some point as it has the polished edge. The crown has been updated at the service to the more secure triplock one. The watch retains its rare superdome crystal also. It has a couple of minor hairline marks on the crystal. The watch is on a correct 9315 folded bracelet too with 380 end links and has the earlier very rare clasp with the 'n' missing from the word 'patented'. As I say its stunning in every way and rare to find anywhere near this condition. Price is £4700. Lots and lots of references |
