Knuckle vs. crystal

My friend wanted to whap on the crystal of my sub with his knuckle. Do you think it would be possible to break it that way, or would he just hurt himself? I didn't let him, but I wondered about it. I'd probly feel more comfortable if it was a SD or especially a DSSD, but I think a sub crystal is pretty strong. What do you guys think?

He'd just hurt his knuckle! It takes a solid whack to smash it. (Dropping it onto a tile floor for 5 feet up)

Have him buy his own crystal and let him wack away all day, be sure to take photos of the bloody mess when he is done.

Here's an idea...tell him to buy his own sub and then he can punch it as much as he wants

Although scratch resistant, sapphire crystals will shatter under high impacts - but I don't know about a knuckle.

i seriously doubt he can break the crystal with his bare knuckle, unless he's talking about a brass knuckle

Also, why subject the movement in your sub to the shock...

I'm still trying to understand why anyone would want to hit the watch crystal with their knuckles.....

If he hits it just right it will break. Although it's thick, and can take punishment, that would risk everything, and prove nothing.

It sounds like your friend may be a little jelous, or just joking with you!

Tell him only if he lets you whack him in the head with a baseball bat!

Thats a strange request!

Maybe ask him if you could slap your Sub on his forehead and see if it leaves a mark! I'm sure he would enjoy seeing the outline of your Sub in the mirror.
