My DHs GMT *2nd Update*
Has just returned from being service and it looks amazing! He had the traditional GMT polishing done and a new acrylic crystal put in. He's very happy with it. I'm trying to convince him to trade it in on something else. He likes to wear his watch every day, but the acrylic crystal is just to sensitive and ends up looking like crap in no time. He's had this watch for 15 years and he's very attached to it.

Wow, what a service job. I didn't read closely enough when I saw the first pic and thought, not so good. But then when I scrolled down and saw the after shots, my eyes opened wide. That's not my favorite color scheme, but I have to admit that watch looks beautiful now. And I do love the large arrowhead hand.

Gorgeous...no way I'd sell that...buy another one but I know I'd regret it instantly if I sold if for something newer.

If it's a 'crapped out' plastic that bothers you or him, then a product called Polywatch can and will cure what ails you.
It's available from a bunch of different internet sources and is made specifically for plastic scratches. I use it on my watches, and since using it, the crystal looks new, I've gotten a job promotion, my hair is not only growing back, but is it's original color, I've won the lottery and babes date me. How's that for a recommendation! |

Nice job , I'd definately keep it, in fact I've been casually looking for a brown/bronze GMT for a while now.
Still trying to work out what DH means! |

They did a great job Melissa! Keep that one!
I'll second what David said about polywatch, it's great stuff, although I've not quite had the results he has. Perhaps I'm not using enough? Wonder if they sell it by the gallon?? |

Very very nice photos.
Is there a reason why your husband didn't replace the bezel inserts? |

We just refurbished my DHs GMT Master with a local watchmaster. New bezel insert was $60.00, New Crystal $55.00, New Hands $40.00, and New Crown $37.18. Total for everything was $550.00. He used genuine Rolex parts. Looks like a brand new watch. |
