Tried Rolex Watches. Need Recommendation
Just tried a couple of Rolex watches at AD. The nice ones are too big and too thick. My size is around 33mm. What model do you recommend?
Thanks. |

Air King is 34mm. You can get the date just in 31mm or 36mm. The Yachtmaster comes in a mid-size that is 35mm.

Try an Oyster Perpetual. Truthfully, advice is cool but a Rolex is so personal you gonna have to make your decision on your own. The watch is gonna be your companion for life.

Thanks. Tried Air King and Oyster Perpetual. Not to my liking. I am more leaning towards the following watches:
Does it comes with 33 to 34mm?? Thanks. |

The DJ is 36 MM but there is Midsize version of the DJ that would be closer to the size you want. Midsize Datejust is probably for you

You can get the Yacht-Master with a blue dial in 35 mm.

Badduck, you've only got a few choices with your wrist size.
Rolex makes a Mid Sized Date Just at 31mm with a fairly decent selection of dials, metals and bracelet combo's. Most of the smaller AD's probably won't have many in stock, so you'll have to press them to open a catalog and make a special order. Rolex makes the Date, Air King and Oyster Perpetual line in 34mm with some dial selections and Oyster bracelets. You can go preowned in these categories and maybe find a Date with the Jubilee bracelet. The closest you can get to your pictures is FiWi's suggestion in a Mid Sized Yachtmaster at 35mm. It's got 4 dial selections in Two Tone and one in the Steel/Platinium. Otherwise, the closest you're going to get to a Sub look and still stay in the Rolex 'family' is to browse the pre owned areas for what is called the Tudor Mini Sub, or even a Tudor Mid Sized Sub. The MiniSub is 33mm and the Mid Sub is 35mm. These watches aren't made anymore, so you're forced to go preowned. Tudor is the lower priced 'cousin' to the Rolex line. It's got a different movement and different bracelet combo's, but is still serviced by Rolex and shares many of the manufacturing attributes that we here all love. The Tudor line is no longer presented in the US, but I've read where an AD can perhaps order a current model from Rolex USA. Try looking at the Tudorwatch.com site and check out the Hydronaut 35mm line. It looks a lot like the Yachtmaster, but with slightly different accessories. I can vouch for the MiniSub...Amanda, a regular contributor here from Austrailia turned me on to it, and now I own two...both recently refurbished by Rolex RSC. Otherwise, as a fellow member of the small wrist club, you're sentenced to drooling over JJ's subs and wishing for a different genetic makeup for thicker wrists. There are those who fit themselves with the 40mm models and have small wrists, but it's not my cup of tea. Good luck, and 'Quack!' |

Thanks for the great info oyster.
I have looked at Date, Air King and Oyster Perpetual and Yachtmaster and it doesnt appeal me nor it shows the quality of design compared to the 40mm design if I am going to spend like 5k and above for those "regular" design watches. I'll look around for Tudor. Do you have any recommendation of other brands that looks really good. Thanks. |

What he said. Actually I am in almost the same quest as yours. All those 40 42 mm watches I just can't wear. I found out about the mini-sub here also. Luckily I got to try on an Explorer 1 just yesterday and it felt just perfect. So now I know I don't need to look for anything smaller. Good luck in your search brother. |

Timex , Rolex they both end in X.
Timex comes in the size you want and the AD is just up the street. |
