Red Sub help
Hi
(oops I'll try this in the correct newbie forum!) I'm a not so young recent newbie, recently afflicted by the dreaded Rolexitis. I bought my first new watch of any note in 30 years recently and it is a brand new SS Sub 16610 and I'm so proud of it...anyway I'm kinda hopn to make watch #2 something special like a red sub or a SS GMT Master II SS 3186. I would appreciate some assistance on my red sub quest - what aspects of a red sub are still 'acceptable' as far as changes that may have been made to it over the years thru servicing by previous owners e.g. I presume if a crystal has been replaced that's ok but what if the bezel or crown have been changed, or the hands replaced? Are these things 'acceptable' as long as the dial is still original? How much impact, if any, is there on price & desirability if some or all of these things have been changed during servicing? Thanks |
