Rolex Catalog coming in the mail
I randomly picked up a magazine and it had a Rolex ad in it. The ad shows a phone number to call for more information. So I called and asked if there was a catalog consisting all the models, the guy on the phone told me that they had a catalog and asked for my mailing information. Then he told me it is going to take 5 days to get there. I asked if it contains all the models but he told me that the catalog will have the current ones, so I am still wondering if it is going to contain the 50th Anniversary GMTs. Anyways, I will see it soon. Will definitely take photos and show it to you guys.
I was checking on the newly formatted Rolex website, seems like they deleted all the AD information. You can only obtain AD information by calling the local office, seems like it is harder to get information on ADs. |

I wonder if RSC gives them out also.

The number I called is to Rolex, not sure if it is RSC, but it is Rolex. So they do actually give them out.
Just not sure if it is going to be the same as the ones that normal ADs would have. Quite excited about it. Next time I go back to Hong Kong, I am going to the RSC to request for one, wonder if it is going to be in Chinese or not. And I have heard that they do give them out. |

I must admit I love Rolex catalogs; I have save a few over the years. I also like to save the black and white price inserts; it makes me remember how much cheaper Rolex used to be.

Need to get a US Catolog. I will tell you the absolute best watch catolog in the world is the one IWC has. It is actually a hardbacked book!! With stories, photos, history. Made me really want a IWC. |

Some ADs give out a complete Price List along with their Catalogue. The prices are not only fully listed, but also some details on the watch like number of jewels, links in that particular bracelet and a page reference number to that particular model in the accompanying catalogue. JJ

Wish Rolex would put out a catolog/book like IWC.
I do really like the IWC Pilot models and Spitfire models. Tried on one at a dealer in Bangkok, and the fit of the metal bracelet was superb. |

The catalog issued by Rolex is sweet!
I had them mail me one 5 months ago when I started seriously hunting for a watch. It's a thick white-cover catalog with glossy full colour pages. The front cover and back cover of the catalog folds inwards like a book-jacket cover. Inside the folded jacket there is a 2-sided cardboard 8x11 inch page with the prices for each watch indicated by the model number and the corresponding page number. The only watches NOT listed in my catalog are the Cellini line of Rolex. Pretty much everything else is there including the ladies styles. The page posted above of the Gold GMT II by JJ Irani is actually page 61 in the catalog. The catalog itself looks like it cost them something like $10 to make and they mail it to you for free!!!!!! |

I just called the 800 number and they are sending me one as well. I probably should have gotten one before I bought my Rolex, but I wouldn't mind seeing what I may be interested in next.

Both JLC and GO have hard bound catalogues and have quite a lot of information on their respective histories included. If you go to the GO web site and sign up they will give you a free catalogue, magazine subscription, and DVD showing their watchmaking processes.

What's the big deal about the catalogue?
OK, I live in Switzerland. I telephoned one of the ADs and I got my big, white catalogue, with the price list the next day. Says something about the Swiss Post Office too! OK, that AD wasn't very bright - the price list was out of date! So I went to the other AD in town |

I've never seen that one. Mine are hard bound books (both the previous version and newer on I got just last fall), not 8.5 X 11, but maybe half sized pages.
It could be a different catalogue for the US market that you have - the same as Rolex does (or at least used to do with the small book instead of full sized pages like pretty much everywhere else in the world). |

Got to agree with Al on this, have seen a few brochures in my life. But the GO hard bound one and DVD are quite superb. And in some ways after seeing the GO,the Rolex one looks quite insignificant, and dont do justice to the brand.

The catalog I got from Rolex was pretty low quality.
It doesn't have most of the watches I am interested. I mean, they don't have 50th Anniversary GMT or Submariner. Definitely don't have SS Daytonia or Sea Dweller. I am going to write a letter back and request a better catalog, hopefully they can return something better than what they already sent me. |

Sorry I did read this sooner to answer your question. Rolex used to include a black and white print out folded three times with all of the current prices for their watches. I first read one in 1989. I have not seen the printouts since 1994. I know I have one in a box some where when I find it I will take a photo of it for you.
