Has anybody had experience with EssentialWatches.com?? It looks like they have a very large inventory and their website looks great, but anybody can make something look good. Any stories with them?? Thanks

I asked about EW in a post a few weeks ago. I have actually spoken with "Seth" who I believe is the owner. The "grey" market "unworn" watches he carries are basically from AD's who have gone (or are going) out of business. I suspect that he also buys some of their stock in bulk and at a discount - the stuff that is not selling. This includes dealers outside of the U.S.. He has some excellent inventory and he told me that he has more than what is posted on the web site. His web site functionality (look & feel) is excellent. Kudos to his webmaster. The research I have done on him is all positive. His eBay and other business ratings are very good. He also encouraged me to come to Beverly Hills to his store to look at what he has available. I like the fact that he has a brick/mortar side to his sales.
If I go grey market on my next pruchase then I will probably give him a shot. I would prefer to find one of those cherry AD's I hear some of you talking about that will come 5 or 10% off of suggested retail. I'm going to Vegas in a month and I am going to scope out the AD's in the area to see if I can get a deal on a TT GMT. One thing that also gives EW a little credibility (IMO) is that the hotter selling models are pretty close to the suggested retail. He just happens to have them in stock. |

The website is very well done. But I can do without the voice.

Yep - I have to remember to mute out my speaker before I go there and then quickly get to where I am going (Rolex Preworn or Unworn) so I don't need to see that stupid cartoon yapping at me. The one flaw in an otherwise excellent web site.

If you go to "essentialwatches.com" rather than "essential-watches.com", it will bring you to a non-flash site... |
