It worked, I'm surprised!!! I purchased the Datejust in 1996. I ordered the Submariner a few weeks ago and picked it up today. I thought about going grey market for this last purchase to save a few bucks. However, Alcan along with others convinced me to go with the AD when spending that kind of money.
I know the steel dial is not the most popular, but it does the trick for me and that's what counts. I purchased both watches new from the same local AD and I'm completely satisfied with my purchases. The photos are not too good because I know nothing about photography. I'm thinking of taking it down a notch and purchasing an Airking next year. What do you think?

Very nice! With the serti dial I think the silver is nice. If ou went gold you would have two two different watches with similar dials.

This way you have more variety.

I like the serti dial as well, although I'm partial to the champagne color. However, as Mr K put it, it's a good contrast to your DJ (which is also very sweet).
