My Impatience Is A Virtue. My New Sub!!!!!

I bought my first Rolex (SS Sub) this past December. After a couple of weeks I decided that I wanted to buy a TT Blue Sub on the one year anniversary of my first Rolex purchase which would have been Dec. 16, 2007.
Well, less than 2 months after my first I now have my second Rolex. I guess my patience ran out faster than I thought it would.
Here are some pics. Sorry about the lint and fingerprints, but I was in a hurry to get them posted. I'll try to do better on my next attempt.

It's amazing how deep that blue is in person huh?

Not surprised that you were bit after only 2 months.

I'm setting the over under at 10 months on when you get your third

10 months??
I told myself that the next one will be about 2 years down the road, but I'll just have to see.

I can certainly relate to your experience Andrew.

This is my first Rolex which I also purchased in December last year:

Any my second one shortly after:

Looks like we went for the same model for our 2nd Rolex, but with different color combos.

Congratulations on your great choice!

Well, since I just got it tonight, the JJ club card probably won't arrive in the mail for a few more days

Thats a good word to describe it ... "Depth". Its like the blue dial is "alive".It has a sparkle to it thats special. Its one of the designs where the different components form a complete whole thats stunning ... !!

Had a patient for an open cardiac procedure on the operating table, two weeks ago. Before induction he remarked ... "Hey,Doc,nice Rolex, thats the nicest one of them all...!! " Turns out we knew each other from the dragstrip.I have a fast quadbike,he has a fast car.So while I was inserting some lines for the procedure,we had a nice discussion about Rolex and drag racing .... (BTW he has a car thats close to 10.5s on the 1/4 mile.(Thats quick for you that dont know). Told him we must get him fixed so that he can go and get that 10.5s quartermile ... Glad to say he did very well intra and postoperatively

Those are two great looking watches. What is your plan on wearing them? Every other day or the blue for specials occasions and the black for your every day beater? I switch my 2 every couple of days.

Thanks for the compliment on the Subs

As for my plans on wearing them.......I cannot wear my watches during the week-at least not while I'm at work-because my job is manual labor, flooring contractor to be more specific. They sit in the winder until the evenings and weekends come, so my watches get very little wear and tear.
I'll probably alternate them every weekend just to keep it mixed up a bit.

Congrats on the new purchase! Besides my DD, my first watch was a Rolex TT Blue Sub. I wore the watch for 14 years straight, I never took it off except to clean it up. The watch never stopped, relentless. While I love my DD, I must say, I got TONS of compliments on the TT Blue Sub. I wish mine had the new style clasp. I am planning on having the watch serviced, buffed up, and give it to my father for a present. He will never spend the money on himsefl for a Rolex, so I really want to treat him to something nice. Wear your new one in good health and enjoy it.
